Lakshmi Manchu, the talented and immensely popular daughter of Collection King Dr. Mohan Babu, is on a high these days. She is working for her first Bollywood movie, RGV’s Department, that has some big names like the Bachchans, Sanjay Dutt and our Rana Daggubati.
After returning from the USA,where she graduated in Theater, Lakshmi hosted her first television program – Lakshmi Talk Show. The show gained immense popularity among the Telugu speaking people worldwide. She later repeated that success in ETv with ‘Prematho Mee Lakshmi’ and that show went on to become even more popular than the first.Her accent, clever questions, choice of celebrities and bubbly nature made the show a household name.
On the silver screen, she earned critical acclaim with Anagananga O Dheerudu and RGV’s Dongala Mutha. Lakshmi has also appeared in Hollywood TV sitcoms like Desperate Housewives and Las Vegas. She is now producing a movie ‘U Kodathara Ulikki Padathara’ with Manoj, her brother.
