Pawan Kalyan is one of the prime contenders for the future number one spot until few months ago. But after his disastrous Puli and Theenmaar, Pawan Kalyan is being left out among the discussions about future number one. Right now even his fans have lost hopes on him and are least bothered about his upcoming film directed by Vishnuvardhan.
Trade pundits are not writing him off though. They still believe that he is one hero who could bounce back with one good film. They are quoting Salman Khan's example who is riding high in Bollywood at the moment. Salman was written off prior to Wanted and all of a sudden he is the current number one in B circuit.

So if he does an entertainer which caters to all the sections he might well be among the top contenders for number one position. There are people who believe that Pawan Kalyan will be the silent killer with his upcoming film. The expectations on this film are low compared to his previous films and that will be a boon in disguise, they opine.
