As we all know by now that Athadu starring Superstar Mahesh Babu upon its release theatrically was a financially losing venture to its producer, Murali Mohan. He even went on to say that he would never produce movies again and true to his words he has never made a movie again. But little did he imagine then that the film would be getting money even years later for him.
Athadu was sold to MAA Tv for a nice sum back in those days for a period of six years. This period was recently over and naturally the contract was terminated. But the channel keeping the immense popularity of the film in mind have once again bought the rights of the film for another six years and this time for a hefty price of 3.5 Cr says the sources. Well this just is another example which illustrates the fact that good movies always reap in the money irrespective of its box office run.
