Political aspirations of Tollywood's top director Puri Jagannath are taking a new turn with his wife and brother getting ready for 2014 elections. Buzz is that one will contest as an MP and other will contest as an MLA.
Puri Jagan is known for his closeness to YSR-Congress leader YS Jagan's family. Many a time, Jagan has turned up at family functions of Puri and Vijayamma too went to Jagan's house in Narsipatnam. Political buzz is that as Puri Jagan is busy with film projects, YSR-C wants his wife Lavanya and brother Uma Shankar Ganesh to contest in 2014 elections. In fact, they are said to be suggesting Puri's wife to contest as Anakapalli MP where there is a huge concentration of Kapu vote bank, while the present MP Sabbam Hari will contest as an MLA from Anakapalli. And, Puri's brother Umashankar Ganesh is aspiring for Narsipatnam MLA ticket. Earlier Puri's brother used to wander around in Telugudesam party and now he shifted loyalties to YSRCP.
Also, it is heard that Puri Jagan who has kept the plans of making a biopic on late-CM YSR on the backburner is once again trying to materialize that project. We have to wait for official confirmation to know the authenticity of this information.
