The issue of Pullela Gopichand running a private academy despite being the Indian badminton coach took a new turn with Mahesh Babu's brother-in-law Sudheer Babu, a professional badminton player and also played alongside Gopi, finding fault with Hyderabadi star Jwala Gutta who raised her voice against unethical ways.
Sudheer came in support of Gopichand calling him a gem of a person and felt sad about people making allegations against him. In his opinion, it's the Indian badminton which suffers the most if he decides to closes either his academy or resign as National coach.
Upset with Sudheer's comments, Jwala Gutta advised him not to take the issue personally and added that the sportsman-turned-hero have no idea what's happening in reality as he is no more in the field. She even offered to explain the issue to the actor personally when time permits.
Even the Bombay High Court questioned Gopi, how ethical it is to run a academy when working as National coach. It's true that Gopichand's academy has produced champions and young players too need his services as coach to excel. As he was forced to lose one among them, what will be his final call now?
