Of late, it is a regular practice for writers to turn into directors. It dates back to age-old days. Right from Jandhyala, Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Dasari Narayana Rao to new-age directors Puri Jagannadh, Trivikram Srinivasa Rao, Posani Krishna Murali and Koratala Siva (who is turning into director with Prabhas-Anushka starrer 'Mirchi) are all noted writers once.
Now one more writer is joining this bandwagon. Chinni Krishna, who penned stories for films like 'Indra', 'Narasimha Naidu', 'Gangothri', 'Badrinath' and recently 'Genius', is all set to don director's hat. The successful writer, who celebrated his birthday on Jan 2, disclosed his interest to media.
He said, "I've been asked to direct a film since a long time, but the pressure has mounted after the release of 'Genius'. I'm mulling over to turn director this year and I hope writer Paruchuri Goplakrishna will be on my side."
