Race is on our film industry for the number one spot after Chiranjeevi retired from films. Currently Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan are competing for this place and the winner is yet to be known. Every year someone is leading the race and someone has to show that they are far ahead of others with consistent hits.
Mahesh Babu got an upper hand in 2011 with Dookudu and NTR proved his mettle in 2010. Ram Charan announced his entry into the superstar league in 2009. When people started to write off Pawan Kalyan as he couldn't find decent hits, he was back with a bang as Gabbar Singh. He has proved all his critics wrong by delivering a mammoth blockbuster, which eventually has become the top 2 hit in entire Tollywood history next only to Magadheera.
Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan also scored hits in 2012 with Businessman and Racha respectively, but they were nowhere near Gabbar Singh in terms of collections. Unsurprisingly Pawan Kalyan is being is voted as the best hero of 2012 in various polls. Tollynagar.net also conducted a poll in our facebook page where Pawan Kalyan was declared as the best Telugu hero of 2012.
He got more than five thousand votes than Mahesh Babu who stood second in the poll. Interestingly NTR is the third in the list despite not having a success in the year. Prabhas too got more votes than Ram Charan, who was fifth in the provided heroes list. Let's wait and see who will be the best hero of this year as most of them have multiple releases in 2013.
